Expertise that Shines

Over the years, AdminSure has developed extensive expertise in managing Liability and Workers’ Compensation programs in California
for organizations of all types, including:

•   Public Entities
•   Business Enterprises
•   Non-Profit Organizations
•   Joint Powers Authorities
•   Self-Insurance Groups

Workers’ Compensation

All of our Workers’ Compensation Administrators, Supervisors and Managers are State Certified and hold WCCA or WCCP credentials.  As such, they have completed coursework in Workers’ Compensation law, medicine, disability rating and case management.  They are required to keep this knowledge up-to-date through continuing education.

In addition to this formal education, they receive individual training from their supervisors in an ongoing mentoring process.  This training is augmented by in-house workshops that are given by senior members of our staff in conjunction with guest lecturers from various professions.

On average, our Workers’ Compensation Administrators have more than ten years, while our Supervisors and Managers have more than fifteen years, of Workers' Compensation claims experience.

This combination of education, training and experience gives our staff considerable expertise in the areas of:

•   AOE/COE Determination
•   Coordination of Benefits
•   Return to Work Programs
•   Disability Management
•   Medical Management
•   Litigation Management
•   Subrogation Recovery
•   Fraud Deterrence

The fundamental goals of Workers’ Compensation are (1) the healthy recovery of the injured worker and (2) the timely and accurate delivery of benefits, as prescribed by State law.

But there is more to it than that.  For instance, we work closely with injured workers, medical providers and employers to facilitate a timely return to work.  Furthermore, we take the time to talk to injured workers, to explain benefits to them and to answer any questions they may have.

At the same time, we fight abuse of the system.  This not only includes exaggerated or fraudulent claims, but also overcharging by medical care providers and other vendors.

Liability Programs

Our Liability Administrators have an average of more than ten years of experience handling auto, general, premises, product, transit, govern-mental and other types of liability claims.  Their expertise includes:

•   Risk Transfer
•   Claim Investigation
•   Liability Evaluation
•   Damage Verification
•   Settlement Negotiation
•   Litigation Management

Our knowledge of liability issues and valuation methods means that we are able to resolve claims in a fair and expeditious manner without setting unwanted precedent.

Since legal expenses can become a large part of a Liability program, we manage litigation proactively to minimize the cost to our clients and to achieve better outcomes.  We consult with and assist legal counsel at all stages of the litigation process.

Public Entity Programs

Public entity programs require special know-how.  AdminSure is familiar with the unique requirements of municipalities, counties, school districts and other governmental agencies.

In Workers’ Compensation, sworn safety officers are entitled to one year of full salary under Labor Code Section 4850.  They may also collect benefits for injuries and illnesses that are not ordinarily covered, such as heart problems.  For all public employees, retirement benefits may be triggered by a work injury.  AdminSure understands these issues and knows how they affect a Workers’ Compensation program.

For Liability, we have substantial experience with the many situations that are peculiar to public entities, such as police vehicle pursuits, false arrest, excessive force, civil rights, inverse condemnation, road design, dangerous conditions of public property, responsibilities to students, etc. We are also familiar with the claim presentation statutes and the various immunities afforded by the Government, Education and Utility Codes.
